Allstate Floors & Construction grew from the vision of its founder, Jose Ortiz, beginning around 1990. Working as a sub-contractor for national flooring companies, he acquired hands-on experience and earned a reputation as a reliable, honest person. Using those skills he began a flooring business, Allstate Carpet, focusing on the installation of carpet. Allstate Carpet soon earned a reputation throughout the Maryland, Virginia and Washington D.C. area for reliability, integrity and quality workmanship. In 1996, the business was incorporated and then in 1998, Gary Moore joined the company, becoming Vice-President of the Sales Division, opening the door to vast opportunities for company growth. Combining their knowledge, skills and dedication, Jose and Gary built Allstate Floors & Construction into a leading commercial flooring contracting business. They continue to lead the company into the 21st Century with a focus on providing exceptional products and customer service in Consultation, Sales and Installation of commercial flooring.

Allstate Floors & Construction, Inc. has successfully completed projects ranging up to $2 million for a variety of facilities. Allstate has provided flooring services for schools; hospitals and healthcare facilities; hospitality industry establishments; federal government projects including the Department of Defense and the Social Security Administration; condominiums and mixed-use facilities. We offer nearly 20 years of experience in the Sales and Installation of custom carpet, ceramic tile resilient flooring and hardwood. We also offer expertise in environmentally friendly products such as natural stone, cork, bamboo, as well as linoleum. We are knowledgeable in LEED certification requirements.
